Managing opt-outs is essential for SMS compliance and respectful communication. The Opt Outs feature helps you stay compliant with spam laws and gives recipients control over the messages they receive.
Accessing Opt Outs
Head to e Opt Outs section has three tabs:

📋 Opt Out List
Setup specific Opt Out lists for marketing and transactional communication. This way your contacts can Opt Out of optional promotional material, while still receiving important transactional alerts.
⚙️ Opt Out Settings
Opt Out Keywords
Set keywords (e.g. STOP) to automatically add recipients to the opt out list when they reply or “text in” with that word.
📝 Default keyword: STOP
➕ You can add more by typing and clicking Add Keyword.
Default Opt Out List
Use the dropdown to select the default Opt Out list – this will be preselected for you but you can change the allocated list at the time of sending.
Opt Out Confirmation SMS
Enable this toggle to send an automatic SMS confirmation when someone opts out via keyword.
You can customise this message to suit your tone or brand.
📋 Opt Out List
Each list is self-contained, and all numbers that have opted out of receiving that type of communication will be listed. Select the correct Opt Out list from the sending screen before sending your message.
Opt Out Details Displayed:
Number
Contact First Name / Surname (if available)
Method (how the Opt Out occurred: Reply or Link)
Date/Time added
🔗 Opt Out Link
This link provides a simple opt-out method that can be included in your SMS messages. This method should be used when sending SMS using an Alpha Sender ID.
Opt Out URL: A unique URL that you can add to your SMS messages.
Opt Out Confirmation Message: Customise the message shown after a recipient submits their opt-out request.
Once submitted, the number is automatically added to your Opt Out list.
