Allowed Sender IDs

The number or name your message is sent from, is important to ensure identification, credibility and the ability to reply if necessary. Register your business name as an Alpha Sender ID or an office mobile as a Verified Mobile Number.

Things to consider when adding Sender ID’s;

Alpha Sender ID
  • Customers cannot reply to message sent using an Alpha Sender ID
  • Only available when sending SMS to Australian and UK mobile numbers.
Verified Mobile Number
  • Replies to messages sent from a verified mobile number will be received to that number. You will not be able to see replies in your account.
  • You will be required to manage opt-outs yourself.

 

Adding an Alphanumeric Sender ID to your account, go to;

1. Settings > Allowed Sender IDs

2. Enter Your Sender ID into the field – keeping in mind Alphanumeric Sender IDs can only be 11 characters long and cannot contain any spaces or symbols.

3. Click on Verify Number tab.

4. Enter Your Number into the field, and click send code.

5. A verification code will be sent to Your Number, once received enter the Verification Code in the next field

6. Click Verify & Save.

NOTE: In accordance with local legislation, all Alphanumeric Sender IDs are submitted to Edgility for review before they are allocated to your account for sending. Your Sender ID request can take up to 24 hours for approval.

 

To add a verified number to your account, go to;

1. Settings > Allowed Sender IDs

2. Click on Verify Number tab.

2. Enter Your Number into the field, and click send code.

3. A verification code will be sent to Your Number, once received enter the Verification Code in the next field

3. Click Verify & Save.

 

Tip: You can delete a Sender ID on your account by clicking on the ellipsis icon (⋮) then Delete.
