Century 21 eSales
Century 21 eSales
Edgility is integrated with Century 21 eSales, so your office can send SMS directly from eSales using your Edgility account. This guide covers how to connect Edgility to eSales and how to set up the Sender ID your messages are sent from.
Before you start
You will need:
- An active Edgility account. Not with us yet? Sign up here.
- Your Edgility API details: an Access Token and a Token ID.
Where to find your Access Token and Token ID
Your API details are included in your Edgility Welcome Email. You can also create them in the platform:
1. Log in to Edgility and go to Settings > API Settings.
2. Click + Create API Key.
3. Enter a Name for the key (e.g. Century 21 eSales) and click Save.
4. Copy the Access Token and Token ID.
Tip: Treat your API details like a password. Only share them with eSales for configuration, and disable the key in API Settings if it is ever compromised. See API Settings for more.
Connecting Edgility to eSales
eSales configures the SMS provider for your office. The steps depend on whether your office is already set up in eSales.
Existing eSales offices
Submit the following details to eSales and ask them to configure Edgility as your SMS provider:
- Provider Name: Edgility
- User Access Token: your Edgility Access Token
- Token ID: your Edgility Token ID
New eSales offices
1. eSales will email your office a list of the SMS providers they support, including Edgility.
2. Sign up for an Edgility account.
3. Submit the Provider Name, User Access Token and Token ID (as listed above) to eSales for configuration.
Sender ID: who your SMS comes from
By default, SMS sent from eSales use the Default Sender ID set on the user’s Edgility account.
To override this for an individual user, enter their mobile number in their eSales user profile. Messages sent by that user will then come from their mobile number.
Note: To send from a personal mobile number, the number must first be added and verified as a Verified Number in Edgility (see below).
Sender ID options
- Shared Local Number – the default for new accounts.
- Virtual Number – a dedicated number for your office. If you have purchased one, it becomes your default Sender ID and recipients can reply.
- Alpha Sender ID – your business name (e.g. C21 Agency), up to 11 characters. Recipients cannot reply. Must be registered with ACMA (see below).
- Verified Number – an agent’s own mobile number. Replies go directly to that handset.
Setting the Default Sender ID
1. In Edgility, go to Settings > Profile & Settings.
2. Select the SMS Settings tab.
3. Choose your Default Sender Id and click Save.
Tip: Each user on your Edgility account has their own default. Set it for every user who sends SMS from eSales.
Registering an Alpha Sender ID (ACMA approval)
Under ACMA’s SMS Sender ID Register rules, all Alpha Sender IDs must be registered and approved before use. Edgility manages the submission to ACMA for you. Alpha Sender IDs are shared across all users on your account, so you only need to register each one once.
Register an existing Sender ID
1. Go to Settings > Sender IDs.
2. Find the Sender ID in the list. If its status shows Unverified, click Verify. The registration form opens with the Sender ID pre-filled.
3. Complete the form: Business Information, Business Address and Authorised Representative Details.
4. Complete identity verification:
- Use a previously verified identity if your account has already completed verification, or
- Verify a new identity. The authorised representative receives an email and uploads a photo ID via a secure portal.
5. Confirm the declaration and submit.
Register a new Sender ID
1. Go to Settings > Sender IDs.
2. Click Register an Australian Sender ID.
3. Enter your new Sender ID, complete the form and submit the application.
What happens next
- We submit your application to ACMA.
- You will receive an email confirmation once it is approved.
- Once approved, select it as the Default Sender Id for each user who should send under your business name.
- Identity verification is only needed once per account, so future registrations are faster.
Important: Registration must be completed by an authorised representative of the business. Alpha Sender IDs only work when sending to Australian mobile numbers.
Adding a Verified Number
1. Go to Settings > Sender IDs and click the Verify Number tab.
2. Enter the mobile number and click Send code.
3. Enter the code received via SMS and click Verify & Save.
Tip: When sending from a Verified Number, replies go to that mobile and are managed outside Edgility, including opt-outs.
